Directions

Melting 8 OZ SLS-Free M & P Base in a Microwave

Cut the soap base into smaller pieces.
Place the sliced soap base into a heat-safe container and place it in your microwave oven to melt the base.
Melt for 30 to 40 seconds, 2 to 3 times, stirring it for 15 seconds between bursts. Ideal temperature: 160°F - 170°F. Mix in any additives of your choice after melting.
Pour the mixture into moulds and wait for 4 to 14 hours till it cools completely.
Your soap is ready to use after unmoulding the hardened mixture.

Actually the clarity is great! Takes forever to develop a skin. Layering and artistic designs I think will not be achievable.
To test the second I opened, I melted just enough to cover the bottom of mold and perhaps a tad more. Even at 70 degrees, no good skin. Waited and waited and it remain very loose an tacky.
Maybe great for adding color and letting it sit for 24 hours. I just cant wait that long between layers/carving/embeds etc.
